Description Our “I Baptize Thee” Baptismal Candle features two prominent symbols of our faith, a scallop shell, and a dove. The scallop shell symbolizes the pouring of water and the washing away of Original Sin during the holy sacrament of Baptism. The dove symbolizes the gift of the Holy Spirit, which is to be conferred during Confirmation when we complete our Baptismal anointing and solidify our devotion to our faith. Each candle is in a presentation box which provides space for the name of the person confirmed, as well as the name of the church and the date of the ceremony.
